VERITAS EXPANDS GLOBAL RELATIONSHIP WITH HP

VERITAS Software Corporation, a leading storage software provider, has expanded its global relationship with HP by committing to jointly develop products supporting Oracle9i Real Application Clusters (RAC) running on the HP-UX 11i operating system. The companies also have renewed an agreement to offer VERITAS Volume Manager and VERITAS File System software products that improve the performance and availability of company data.

The companies are collaborating to help organizations better manage the availability of Oracle9i RAC databases running in HP-UX 11i environments. VERITAS is currently accepting beta applications for customers interested in VERITAS Database Edition/Advanced Cluster for Oracle9i RAC for HP-UX 11i. This VERITAS solution includes a cluster file system designed to improve the management and availability of Oracle9i RAC environments.

VERITAS Software now offers industry-leading storage software for storage management, backup and recovery, high availability and storage resource management for the HP-UX 11i operating system ( www.hp.com/go/hpux11i). Available immediately, these software products support HP Superdome and rp8400 servers.
