3PAR TEAMS WITH STORAGE NETWORKING LEADER McDATA

3PAR, a leading provider of Utility Storage, has announced that McDATA Corporation's storage networking solutions have been tested and jointly approved for use in conjunction with 3PAR InServ Storage Servers. The combined 3PAR and McDATA solution has been tested and approved within the McDATA OPENready Interoperability Program, of which 3PAR is a member. Founded in 1982, McDATA is the worldwide leader in open, ultra-high availability storage networking solutions and provides highly available, scalable and centrally managed storage area networks (SANs) that address enterprise-wide storage problems.

Today's enterprise data centers typically consist of many heterogeneous servers with data spread across multiple traditional storage devices. Storage utilization rates are not cost-effective, and the entire storage environment is complex and expensive to administer and manage.
