MicronPC ENTERS STORAGE MARKET WITH NEW DataFRAME PRODUCTS

MPC, a Gores Technology Group company, announced recently that it is entering the storage market with the introduction of the DataFRAME 310fc (Fibre Channel) and DataFRAME 310s (SCSI) storage products.

The DataFRAME 310fc features the latest in technology with 2GB fibre channel performance, scalable to over 16TB total storage and the Spheras Storage Director Web-based management software solution. The product also includes hot swappable, redundant power supplies, advanced cooling modules and disk drives ensuring a high degree of reliability.

The DataFRAME 310fc is ideal for medium sized businesses or departments, which need to handle large amounts of data. This product is designed for customers who want to expand storage in an existing fibre channel environment, or for those that have or are planning to implement a Storage Area Network (SAN). With the DataFRAME 310fc, organizations can easily augment their existing infrastructure in terms of both additional storage space and high-speed data retrieval.

The DataFRAME 310fc is modular in design, which provides a cost-effective, easily expandable approach to meet increasing storage needs. Rather than purchasing additional servers, an overall storage capacity of up to 16.6TB can be obtained by adding up to 7 storage expansion units to the base RAID system.
