MaXXan COMPLETES HDS INTEROPERABILITY TESTING

MaXXan Systems Inc, an industry leading provider of intelligent storage networking solutions, has announced the successful completion of HDS' Interoperability Demonstration Program (IDP) tests for the MaXXan MXV320 Intelligent Director Switch with the HDS Hitachi Freedom Storage Lightning 9900 V and Lightning 9900 Series product families. These thorough IDP tests covered fabric configuration, fabric event handling, data integrity, port management, host group management, LUN security and endurance.

The completion of the IDP assures customers that MaXXan's MXV320 Intelligent Director Switch has been tested for use with the Hitachi Freedom Storage systems and can be deployed with confidence in HDS storage environments. MaXXan's programmable ASAN (Applications-in-a-SAN) architecture integrates a highly scalable director switch with business- critical storage applications that are delivered and managed centrally rather than being distributed outside the SAN. These applications include: NAS for file-serving from a SAN, replication, snapshot and mirroring for disaster recovery, virtualization storage service enablers for storage consolidation, and backup for data protection solutions.
