INNOVATION Announces IBM eServer Sto Mgmt Solutions Support

INNOVATION Data Processing Inc recently announced that its enterprise software solutions for non-disruptive and instant storage management are currently shipping with support for the new IBM eServer zSeries mainframes introduced recently by IBM. According to the company, all components of its FDR Storage Management Suite, FDR (Fast Dump Restore), ABR and FASTCPK, FDRINSTANT and ABRINSTANT for non-disruptive z/OS storage management, FDR/UPSTREAM for UNIX, Linux and Windows, IAM the VSAM application accelerator, as well as FDRPAS the solution for non-disruptive installation of new storage hardware and real-time data migration, will work on the new z990 servers. Current releases contain full support for the z990 models with general availability expected in June. Versions (V5.4L24 and above) exploiting the larger, higher capacity z990 systems expected in October, are currently shipping as normal maintenance.

INNOVATION FDR, FDRInstant and IAM storage management solutions are available through the IBM SystemPac offerings. The FDRPAS solution for non-disruptive installation and disk capacity upgrades is available through IBM Global Services and IBM Business Partners, whose specialists employ the FDRPAS data migration engine for non-disruptive zServer disk storage hardware installation and I/O load balancing.
