Features - Storage Innovations:PROCOM TO DEMONSTRATE NEWEST NAS FILER AT EXPO IN TOKYOProcom Technology, a global leader in network attached storage (NAS) solutions, announced recently that it will demonstrate its recently introduced NetFORCE 4000 high-end NAS filer at the prestigious Data Storage Expo & Conference in Tokyo, July 9-11. Procom will exhibit in Booth #8-32 at the International Exhibition Center. The NetFORCE 4000 brings to Procom's popular NAS filer family improved storage density and performance, thanks to lower-profile components and a 2-gigabit-per-second Fibre Channel back end. Scalability is also improved; the NetFORCE Model 4200c, for example, has a dual-head, fully redundant design that provides high availability and allows the filer to scale to more than 30 terabytes of storage capacity. Expo attendees will get to experience NetFORCE's easy-to-use browser-based GUI and acquaint themselves with the filer's many standard features, such as checkpoint support for immediate file recovery; dynamic volume expansion; cross-platform, heterogeneous file sharing; NDMP-compliant backup; and SNMP monitoring. "There is a growing demand throughout the world for storage solutions with the capabilities our NetFORCE 4000 provides," said John Hamrick, Procom's director of marketing. "The Japanese marketplace is important to Procom, and our participation at Data Storage Expo reinforces the global reach of our company." |
