InterSAN PATHLINE SAM SOFTWARE INTEGRATES HBAnyware SUITE

Emulex Corporation, a leading supplier of storage networking host bus adapters (HBAs), and InterSAN Inc, a leading provider of storage area management (SAM) automation software, have announced that InterSAN PATHLINE software will integrate support for Emulex's HBAnyware management suite. The addition of Emulex's HBAnyware solution will provide the PATHLINE application with the added value of automated discovery, monitoring and management of Emulex HBAs across multiple operating systems.

Emulex's HBAnyware technology is a centralized HBA management suite that provides full visibility of the SAN, and enables discovery of port attributes and link status, as well as the ability to upgrade firmware anywhere in the SAN from a single console. HBAnyware is driver-based and uses in-band, industry-standard protocols enabling full support for heterogeneous SANs without the need for remote software.

InterSAN's PATHLINE application is designed to automate and manage all aspects of the storage services life cycle from planning, implementation, and provisioning to monitoring. The software's advanced policy-based automation and storage resource management capabilities significantly improve IT efficiencies, optimize resource utilization, and reduce the cost of storage management.
