NEC TO SELL nStor's FIBRE CHANNEL RAID STORAGE SYSTEMS

NEC Corporation will release for sale, on August 20, 2003, a 2Gbit Fibre RAID storage system based on nStor Corporation's 4320F 2Gbit Fibre RAID product. nStor Corporation is an innovative developer of storage-network technologies and is a wholly owned subsidiary of nStor Technologies Inc.

"NEC wanted a state-of-the-art storage-networking solution that would take full advantage of NEC's advanced external disk-array systems capabilities," stated Shigeru Oshima, a Senior Manager in the Client and Server Division. "The 4320F meets all NEC's requirements for entry level through high end computing environments. In NEC's testing of the NexStor 4320F, the 4320F exceeded NEC's requirements."

Thomas Gruber, president of nStor Corporation, stated that, "NEC is a world-class OEM customer and our selection by NEC is a major endorsement of nStor's own internally developed intellectual property, specifically our Wahoo RAID controller and StorView Software. nStor's 4320F RAID system is based on the Wahoo family of RAID controllers and web-based StorView Software. The family of 2Gbit RAID controllers known as Wahoo and WahooXP are designed and produced by nStor Corporation. The Wahoo controller and StorView software enables OEM's to offer comprehensive Fibre RAID based solutions at industry leading price and performance levels.
