StoneFly NETWORKS FURTHERS IP SAN INTEROPERABILITY

StoneFly Networks, an innovator of Internet Protocol (IP)-based storage provisioning appliances, recently announced its membership in TSANet (Technical Support Alliance Network), the computer industry's largest vendor-neutral support alliance. The announcement underscores the iSCSI storage industry pioneer's commitment to ensuring interoperability for customers using StoneFly-enabled IP SANs in multi-vendor network environments. By joining TSANet, StoneFly further aligns itself with partners Dell, McDATA, Microsoft and Novell, as well as other industry leaders such as EMC, HP, IBM and Veritas.

According to Bob Preston, vice president of marketing for StoneFly, membership in TSANet enhances StoneFly's ability to effectively serve its rapidly growing customer base. "TSANet provides our customers with an industry-wide forum to facilitate service and interoperability. At the same time, TSANet offers an infrastructure for efficiently addressing multi-vendor technical issues," he said.

Beyond access to TSANet, StoneFly customers also benefit from the company's own comprehensive technical support services, which are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year to ensure the most reliable network storage and data availability.

Shipping since June 2002, StoneFly's Storage Concentrator family of IP-based storage provisioning appliances enables real-time management and optimization of storage assets. All StoneFly Storage Concentrators are standards-based and offer a wide range of performance options. The Storage Concentrator i1500 models are priced starting at $9,995. The Storage Concentrator i2000 FailOver Cluster, which includes a redundant configuration to protect storage volumes and ensure high data availability and business continuity, starts at $14,995. The company also offers complete Scalable IP SAN configurations, which include Storage Concentrators, interoperable iSCSI initiators and ATA disk arrays in configurations ranging from 1TB to 10.5TB of storage priced at less than one cent per megabyte.
