I-TECH ANNOUNCES THE POWERFRAME STORAGE TEST SYSTEM

I-TECH, a technology leader in high-speed data storage testing solutions, announced the introduction of the PowerFrame Storage Test System, a revolutionary new concept in monitoring and analysis for SANs and storage components. The PowerFrame combines I-TECH's industry-leading hardware and software capabilities into a modular analysis system. The PowerFrame is scheduled to support the following storage protocols: 1-, 2-, 4-, and 10-Gbps Fibre Channel, 1.25-Gbps Gigabit Ethernet, and 1.5-, 3-, and 6-Gbps SAS. The modular architecture of the PowerFrame provides the storage industry with the most cost-effective test system on the market. Users no longer have to purchase separate test platforms for new protocols and faster transfer speeds. They simply add modules to their test system for more channels of the same protocol or additional protocols.

"I-TECH continues its pledge to listen to the voice of the customer and respond accordingly with solutions that are innovative and cost-effective. The PowerFrame epitomizes these values," said Steve Bucher, I-TECH CEO.

Users can replace modules in the field, thereby eliminating downtime incurred by returning the system to the factory for channel or protocol upgrades. The PowerFrame is designed to support not only today's technologies but future technologies as well -- next generation transfer rates (1-Gbps to 10-Gbps) and emerging protocols.

"No other product on the market matches PowerFrame's versatility and power. I am confident that the PowerFrame will become the industry-preferred test solution. The ability to add modules in any combination of time-correlated protocols sets the PowerFrame apart from any other test solution available," added Bucher.

The PowerFrame is offered in three models: the PowerFrame 800, a rack-mount model with up to 32 channels of analysis; the PowerFrame 400, a desktop model (rack-mount accessories included) with up to 16 channels of analysis; and the PowerFrame 100, a portable model with 4 channels of analysis. Analysis modules are compatible across all three models.
