CIPRICO AND StorCOMM CURE STORAGE WOES AT MISS. HOSPITAL

Ciprico Inc, a leading provider of storage solutions that simplify and accelerate digital media workflows for the medical imaging market, announced the selection of its DiMeda 2400 high-performance networked attached storage (NAS) solution by StorCOMM, a leading developer of scalable medical imaging systems, including Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). StorCOMM certified Ciprico's high-performance DiMeda 2400 as part of their total solution. StorCOMM chose the DiMeda 2400 because of its compatibility with StorCOMM's AccessNET PACS software, creating a total system for their customers. DiMeda 2400 is extremely fault-tolerant, has the performance needed to provide the highest availability to crucial patient information, and meets the requisite HIPPA requirements for disaster management. Most recently, the system was installed at Mississippi Baptist Hospital. Mississippi Baptist had been using DVD archival methods for its data intensive PACS repository but now requires a more robust, online storage solution.
