LSI LOGIC LAUNCHES FOUR NEW SCSI ULTRA320 KITS

LSI Logic Corporation announced a significant enhancement to its channel product portfolio by introducing new product packaging and expanding the number of kitted products offered with cables included. Single- and dual-channel storage adapter kits for both Ultra320 SCSI and Ultra320 SCSI RAID storage adapters will now be supplied with Tripp Lite 42-inch, five-drive SCSI cables.

With immediate availability of these products, LSI Logic positions itself as the only manufacturer to include a five-drive cable with its Ultra320 SCSI and SCSI RAID solutions. Five-drive cables can exploit the full speed potential of Ultra320 SCSI and SCSI RAID environments. The new product release extends LSI Logic's product portfolio to provide a comprehensive family of storage adapter kits including ATA and Serial ATA RAID kits with cables released in the last year.

• The MegaRAID 320-2 SCSI RAID dual-channel adapter: Targeted for high-performance, mid-range servers and intensive I/O environments that require RAID configurations. The MegaRAID 320-2 SCSI RAID controller will include two Tripp Lite cables.
• The LSI20320-R Ultra320 SCSI single-channel host bus adapter: Ideal for ISPs, rack mount servers and high-performance workstations.
• The LSI21320-R Ultra320 SCSI dual-channel host bus adapter: Capable of up to 100,000 I/Os per second and 320 MB/s performance, ideal for data mining, Internet, email, graphics and data-intensive applications.
