IMATION SPEEDS UP STORAGE WITH NEW DVD, CD-RW MEDIA

Imation Corp, a worldwide leader in removable data storage media, announced the availability of new high-speed DVD and CD-RW media products, including 4x DVD+R/RW, 4x DVD-R and 10x-24x Ultra-Speed CD-RW discs. These new formats make backup procedures easier to perform for small business owners and consumers who operate in today's high-capacity computing environment.

4X DVD+R/RW And 4xDVD-R

With the ability to provide recording speeds of up to 44 megabits per second, Imation's new 4X DVD media has the ability to record its full 4.7GB capacity -- about the total content contained in a stack of books piled nearly 50 yards high--in less than 15 minutes. Imation's new higher speed DVDs are ideal for archival, storage and retrieval of high-capacity data files such as photos and video, as well as PC or network backups in home and business environments.

10x-24x Ultra-Speed CD-RW

Sharing photos, creating multimedia presentations or running data applications is now easier with Imation's 10x-24x Ultra-Speed CD-RW discs. These 10x-24x Ultra-Speed discs can record up to 650 megabytes of data, the equivalent of 74 minutes of music, in less than three minutes.
