BiTMICRO INTRODUCES LOW COST ENTERPRISE SAN SOLID STATE FLASH

BiTMICRO Networks, a pioneer in intelligent flash disk ATA / IDE, SCSI, USB, VME, Compact PCI, Firewire, Fibre Channel and Ethernet solid state disk (SSD) storage solutions, announced at the SunNetwork Conference being held in San Francisco, the release and immediate availability of its E-DiskSAN SAF Fibre-to-Fibre low cost series of pure solid state storage area network product line.

This latest version of low cost non-volatile E-DiskSAN of pure solid state disk storage is rich in performance and reliability. It is designed to meet the ever growing demand for speed and low latency performance required by commercial database and other transaction intensive applications.

The dual ported active-active E-DiskSAN SAF flash disk SSD offers up to 40,000 sustained sequential input/output per second (IOPS), up to 30,000 sustained random IOPS, up to 280 MB per second sustained sequential read transfer rate, and up to 180 MB per second sustained random read transfer rate. The SAF 4-bay non-volatile flash disk series scales in capacity to 426 GB per enclosure.

BiTMICRO customers can now avail of low cost non-volatile solid state flash disk technology in their data center, SAN and network attached storage (NAS) environments by deploying the E-DiskSAN SAF. The E-DiskSAN SAF flash disk appliance can be deployed in a variety of storage architectures for most types of technical and business applications and does not require a Fibre Channel SAN. The SAF can be configured as a desktop or stand-alone device, in a server, tower or rackmount enclosure directly attached to a host with a Fibre Channel interface.

For enterprise customers who have deployed Fibre Channel SANs, the addition of the E-DiskSAN SAF provides a performance boost to a broad range of servers and applications when they need it, while sharing this valuable resource across the corporate network.
