FilesAnywhere OFFERS INTERNET STORAGE SERVICE

FilesAnywhere launched a new service that enables workgroups to edit files together over the Internet using Version Control. Also released with the new service is Version History, which automatically backs up each file version saved to online storage accounts at FilesAnywhere.com, protecting against accidental file deletions or unwanted updates.

Version Control features are usually only found in high-end network file management systems. FilesAnywhere is the first Web service to offer these features directly to consumers and business teams over the Internet, using a simple Web interface. Version Control is now included as a service with all FilesAnywhere subscriptions.

FilesAnywhere Version Control automates the file Checkin-Checkout process, so workgroup users can make independent changes without overwriting others' changes. All file changes are tracked and are visible in online reports.

Version History keeps a running backup of every file version saved. Subscribers can browse all captured backup versions using a backup folder hierarchy and retrieve any version with drag-n-drop convenience. Delete Protection automatically copies files before they are deleted.
