MaXXan DELIVERS BREAKTHROUGH IN SAN MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE

MaXXan Systems Inc announced the worldwide availability of its SANCruiser storage network management system. SANCruiser is designed from the ground up to simplify the management of a new generation of intelligent storage networks to allow IT administrators to take complete control of their storage network and its services.

SANCruiser's intuitive dialogs and displays reduce the learning curve, allowing users to monitor, configure and maintain the MaXXan MXV320 intelligent application switch and all of its integrated devices via a Graphical User Interface-based centralized network management software. SANCruiser is a Java-based client-server software and is ready for deployment in a pre-installed rack mount server with support for clients running Microsoft Windows. It is a key component in MaXXan's SANe (Storage Application Network Engine) architecture that enhances the intelligence, integration and functionality of the storage networks.

SANCruiser provides users control of SAN assets, ability to plan for growth and central management of mission-critical storage networks. With the release of SANCruiser, the centralized control of a company's storage infrastructure through global views, fabric zoning, inventory management, live upgrades and fault detection is simplified. The software provides a variety of real-time displays for port configuration, network discovery, SAN topology maps, port configuration, alert notification, performance management, license management, environmental monitors and much more. IT managers control everything from monitoring the temperature of a chassis in a remote location or upgrading firmware on all of systems with SANCruiser. Preventing bottlenecks and quickly resolving emergencies are realistic tasks with SANCruiser.

SANCruiser is based on standards, which allows it to act as middleware, connecting third-party management applications such as HP OpenView to storage networks.
