BakBone To Centralize Storage Management For Large Indian ISP

BakBone Software, a global provider of data recovery software, announced that Sify Ltd, India's largest integrated Internet and e-commerce services company, has selected BakBone's NetVault software to manage its Hosting Division's data backup and recovery needs. Building on BakBone's already established footprint in India, this announcement comes on the heels of a number of other significant wins for BakBone in the region. These include the subsidiaries of Nokia, Volvo and several financial and banking institutions.

According to market research firm IDC, the market for storage software solutions in India is expected to grow at a CAGR of 34.4 percent in the five years between 2002 and 2007. By the end of 2003, IDC estimated that 35 percent of IT budgets in India would be storage related.
