IBM, EMC, HP, CA, ORACLE EXECUTIVES GATHER TO DEFINE ILM

Senior executives from industry leading companies IBM, EMC, HP, Computer Associates, Oracle and Iron Mountain will present their perspectives on the emerging practice of Information Lifecycle Management at the ILM Solutions 2004 Conference and Expo. This premier event is being produced by the SNIA Data Management Forum and will take place Oct. 3-5 in Long Beach, Calif.

"IT professionals, records administrators, system integrators and government regulators are beginning to see the potential and benefits of Information Lifecycle Management," said Phillip Mills, storage network architect and strategist for IBM and chairman of the SNIA Data Management Forum. "To bring this potential to fruition the industry must unify and standardize its approach to ILM. The SNIA Data Management Forum is driving this standardization through a variety of programs, including this unique assembly of key industry leaders. This assembly is what makes ILM 2004 a 'must attend event' for anyone involved in information management, datacenter operations, data center and storage architectures, and e-mail regulatory compliance."

Featured Speakers will include:

  • Barry Rudolph, vice president and IBM executive for ILM.
  • Mark Sorenson, senior vice president of EMC Software Group.
  • Frank Harbist, vice president and general manager of Storage Software Division at HP.
  • Mark Bradley, vice president and senior technology strategist at Computer Associates.
  • Juan Loaiza, vice president of System Technology Group at Oracle.
  • Peter Delle Donne, president of Iron Mountain.

Each of these visionaries will present an overview of the past, present and future of Information Lifecycle Management. These authoritative presentations will provide the guidance needed to begin planning and deploying an Information Lifecycle Management program to meet the needs of any enterprise.

In addition to these key presentations, experts from Hitachi Data Systems, Archivas, CommVault, Applimation, CaminoSoft, Quantum, Revivio, Rainfinity and other ILM leaders will be on hand to discuss ILM trends and technologies, provide product information and deliver presentations for two program tracks. The Implementation Workshops track will offer guidance for individuals wishing to learn about ILM techniques for general information management or for specific applications like e-mail archiving, regulatory compliance, database archiving and long term storage. The Product Solutions track will provide information on ILM solutions that are currently available or planned for forthcoming release.
