ISL and SPSS in Partnership To Provide Complete Enterprise Data Mining Solution

ISL Decision Systems Inc., U.S. affiliate of data mining product supplier Integral Solutions Limited, Basingstoke, U.K., announced completion of an alliance with SPSS Inc., a leading supplier of desktop business analysis and data mining software. Under the agreement, the companies will develop an interface between ISL's Clementine data mining product and SPSS data mining and statistics product line, SPSS for Windows.
The resulting interface will provide a seamless data link between Clementine and SPSS for Windows. Clementine users will now have access to SPSS data transformations, a wider range of statistical and other data mining procedures and new graphics capabilities that are available in the newly released SPSS 8.0 for Windows. The interface will provide SPSS users with data mining process support and the ability to easily link the steps of the data mining process in the visual environment that Clementine provides.
Both SPSS and ISL are recognized leaders in data mining. According to a recent META Group report, SPSS Inc. is a market share leader in data mining with a 30% share.
