NCR Announces New Data Warehousing Solutions
for Telecommunications Industry

NCR Corporation has announced the release of ChurnSENTRY and GrowthADVISOR, two data warehousing solutions that will help telecommunications companies increase customer retention, improve profitability and stimulate revenue growth by identifying customers that are most likely to change to a new service provider or to buy a product or service.
ChurnSENTRY and GrowthADVISOR are extensions to NCR's Yield Management program which includes data warehousing solutions aimed at helping telecommunications companies understand and act on the value that each customer brings to their business. Each solution integrates the power of data mining with NCR's Teradata database engine and NCR's highly scalable WorldMark servers that have vast scalability from 10 gigabytes to more than 100 terabytes, enabling telecommunications companies to start with a powerful entry-level data warehouse solution and easily grow the solution as the number of applications and users grow.

NCR's ChurnSENTRY and GrowthADVISOR solutions are end-to-end packaged solutions with pre-defined logical data models that are each offered at a starting price of $850,000, and have guaranteed implementation time in as little as 90 days, enabling a faster time to market and dramatic return on investment. The major components of each solution include a pre-built suite of data warehouse and data mining utilities and tools, fully integrated Teradata database and NCR WorldMark server, and a pre-packaged professional services engagement built on NCR's proven methodology and 14 years of data warehouse experience.
To support these solutions with data mining capabilities, NCR will leverage its strategic relationship with SAS Institute and will also leverage its relationships with Integral Solutions Limited and The SABRE Group. NCR has also formed a relationship with Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), based in Murray Hill, New Jersey, to provide business demographic and credit data, and telephone usage predictive demand estimation modeling and scoring, and Acxiom Corporation for supplying census and residential data.
