The United States Department of Defense Health Affairs has named SPSS for Windows as the analytical tool for its Enterprise Data Warehouse. SPSS for Windows, developed by SPSS Inc., is business analysis and data mining software. Health care personnel at the Corporate Executive Information System (CEIS) will use SPSS for Windows to analyze over 75 million records processed by the EDW each year.

SPSS for Windows will be used to answer critical questions that affect every health care organization within the Department of Defense. These organizations will use the information to improve patient outcomes, enhance the quality and value of health services, evaluate patient satisfaction, provide required data for regulations and control costs.

"We are proud that SPSS was selected as the analytical tool for the EDW, " said Jack Noonan, SPSS president and CEO. "Today more and more organizations, like the Department of Defense Health Affairs, find that they need an analytical tool to help make sense of the mountains of information contained in their databases. SPSS continues to develop and provide leading analytical tools to respond to this growing need."
