Computer Concepts Corp. (CCC) recently announced that it has begun warehousing and processing, on its recently introduced Internet Server Farm, over 8 million telephone call detail records per month for a Fortune 100 company, and announced also that it will be profitable in 1998.

The Fortune 100 company has the ability to view their summary billing information and other pre-generated reports, analyze usage, and drill down into their call detail, referred to as "visual data mining", interactively over the Internet. All of the reporting and analysis functions are supported from the data warehouse maintained on CCC's Server Farm. The patented web based analysis software, d.b.Express Internet Information Server, is a browser based Java application that operates without having to download billing data to the customers' computers, a time and resource saving paradigm shift of major proportions since it allows data to be accessed and analyzed at the source. This new electronic delivery program also eliminates the need to print and ship hardcopy reports, improves billing cycle times, and gives companies 24 hour access to their telephone records.

Jim Cannavino, chairman of Computer Concepts' Internet Strategy Committee, introduced the Server Farm concept in his keynote address at the 4th Annual Internet/Intranet Application Developers' Conference in New York City on March 19, 1998, and CCC began processing phone call records the following month.

Commenting on the recent introduction of CCC's Server Farm, Cannavino stated: "I believe that outsourcing of telephone call detail records by companies of all sizes will be the wave of the future since call data can be analyzed rapidly and cost-efficiently via the Internet, thereby eliminating the need for those companies to invest in, and maintain, the infrastructure needed to support the data in-house." He added: "Today's businesses, many of whom have offices around the world, must now compete on a global basis, thereby making 24 hour, 7 day a week access to data a necessity rather than a luxury. "

Dan DelGiorno, President and CEO of Computer Concepts, noted: "The investment made in the Internet Server Farm technology, equipment, and operational infrastructure to date will enable us to add substantial numbers of new customers with minimal cost related to those revenues." DelGiorno added: "As previously stated, the Company will be profitable in 1998 and beyond."

Computer Concepts Corp., headquartered in Bohemia, New York, develops software tools including d.b.Express that assist end users in the retrieval and visualization of all types of data, and is an IBM Business Partner-Personal Computer Reseller. Computer Concepts' d.b.Express Internet Information ServerTM has recently been licensed by British Telecom, and has been integrated with British Telecom's Syncordia Services' C-View software application which will allow BT's customers to access and analyze the high volumes of technical and account information available within BT's Internet-based databases without having to download the data to their own computers.

The new d.b.Express Internet Information ServerTM and JAVA Applet have overcome a major Internet problem, that of high data volume and limited bandwidth, currently responsible for the lengthy delays associated with data downloading.
