Constellar Corporation, the Enterprise Application Integration Company, has announced a new release of Constellar WarehouseBuilder with native support for Oracle Express and enhanced features that deliver unprecedented throughput for building and maintaining large, complex data warehouses and marts. The combination of Constellar Hub, the company's market-leading transformation engine, and Constellar WarehouseBuilder is designed to create the first comprehensive EAI solution to integrate enterprise data across both operational and decision support systems, regardless of a company's platforms or application requirements.

Constellar WarehouseBuilder rapidly aggregates large volumes of data, collected from the Constellar Hub engine, and manages the loading of enterprise data warehouses and data marts. A unique dimensional reference model enables Constellar WarehouseBuilder to perform massive-scale data aggregation in a fraction of the time it takes with hand-made solutions or traditional SQL-based data warehouses loaders. New support for Oracle's multidimensional database, Oracle Express, extends Constellar WarehouseBuilder's ability to build native hypercubes for the leading OLAP data stores and schemas, which improves performance for users by an order of magnitude.

New features of Constellar WarehouseBuilder include:

• Native Support for Oracle Express - adds integrated loading of Oracle Express warehouses; populates Oracle Express with both dimensions and facts; chooses whether Constellar WarehouseBuilder or Oracle Express pre-aggregates the data;
• Metadata Lineage - enhances the metadata model of Constellar WarehouseBuilder to permit tracking of metadata -- such as dimensions and facts -- back to the originating source system. This greatly enhances usability and impact analysis capabilities;
• Ouput Partitioning Enhancements -- increases the level of granularity and selectivity of partitioning for aggregated data. Partitioning can be performed across multiple dimensions, at any level;
• Pivoting Features - dimension, lookups and metric pivoting features greatly reduce the amount of work required to build dimensional hierarchies and fact calculations within Constellar WarehouseBuilder. This enables multi-level dimensions to be constructed in a single operation, and dimensions to be reverse-engineered from existing fact data;
• New Time Dimension Wizard - builds both standard and complex Time dimensions quickly. The Wizard will now create time dimensions based on the ISO standard week numbering system, Julian dates, as well as more straight forward roll-up hierarchies (such as day, week, month).
