ARIS Software Launches NoetixDW to Simplify Data Warehouse Implementations

ARIS Software, a wholly owned subsidiary of ARIS Corp., has introduced NoetixDW for Financials, a product specifically designed to simplify the implementation of data warehouse solutions for Oracle Applications c ustomers. NoetixDW joins the successful NoetixViews, ARIS Software's popular business meta data product line, in the Oracle Applications arena. NoetixDW for Oracle Financials is the first product in the NoetixDW product line.

As companies extend reporting solutions to include data warehouse and OLAP (on-line analytical processing) products, they are faced with the difficult task of mapping complicated, source database information to the structure of the data warehouse. NoetixDW simplifies this for Oracle Financials' customers by organizing the data into data warehouse "ready" metadata, which then is pulled across to the data warehouse server.

"One of the biggest frustrations IT Managers have is the cost and length of time associated with Data Warehouse implementations," said Dave Melin, President of ARIS Software, Inc. "With NoetixDW, a data warehouse can be up and running in weeks, rather than months or years. NoetixDW organizes the host information into a form that any popular data warehouse tool can grab and pull across into the data warehouse. NoetixDW doesn't do all the work in setting up the data warehouse, but it provides a huge head start."

NoetixDW works in conjunction with third party decision data warehouse, OLAP, and query products. NoetixDW's layer of business information is resident on the application database. Beta shipments of NoetixDW will begin in December 1998, with general product availability in the first quarter of 1999.
