Hummingbird Announces QuickStart for SAP Customers;
QuickStart Gains RapidMartReady Certification from Acta
Hummingbird Communications Ltd announced QuickStart, a module that expands the power of Acta Technology Inc.'s RapidMarts by providing users with the key decision support capabilities of Hummingbird BI/Suite. Hummingbird is a participant in Acta's RapidMartReady Program, ensuring full certification of QuickStart on top of Acta's RapidMarts.
The QuickStart is a template that provides end-users with an easy-to-understand road map of the contents of their RapidMart, and allows them to launch key business intelligence tasks simply by clicking on a button. The QuickStart is based on BI/Suite, Hummingbird's fully integrated, scalable enterprise business intelligence solution allowing end users to access and analyze information stored in transactional databases, data marts and data warehouses both on the desktop and over the Web.
RapidMarts are pre-packaged data warehouse solutions that extract data from SAP, transform and filter it, and load it into a data warehouse or data mart. RapidMarts jump-start the process of creating a customized data warehouse or data mart because they can be implemented quickly and provide an almost immediate return on investment. RapidMarts are built with ActaWorks for SAP, a graphical extraction, transformation and loading tool designed to be tightly integrated with SAP's application layer.
Combining Hummingbird BI/Suite with the Sales and Cost Analysis RapidMart will enable SAP customers to analyze sales trends, evaluate customer behavior, plan product life cycles and determine the effectiveness of marketing campaigns - to name only a few critical business tasks.
