systemfabrik, Inc. has announced that it has created and launched the industry's first One Hour Warehouse Program to provide IT professionals with a fast and simple way to begin building data warehouses. The new program coincides with the release of Warehouse Workbench Version 3.0, systemfabrik's data extraction and transformation (ETL) toolkit.

The One Hour Warehouse Program is designed for busy people with a serious need for an ETL tool. In less than 60 minutes, users install Warehouse Workbench 3.0, become familiar with its feature set, run sample transformations, and create a live transformation to solve one of their own problems. This is all done over the phone with the assistance of a systemfabrik data integration engineer.

• Setting up native access to source and target databases and then defining transformations including the creation of a customer table.
• Adding United States demographic data from a flat file.
• Integrating German data with different data models using foreign exchange and product lookup tables, and handling special characters such as the umlaut.
• Sourcing of real-time exchange rates from the Federal Reserve Board Web site.
• Capturing source data changes for updates and scaling to multiple engines.

The systemfabrik engineer then helps users create a customer-defined transformation of their choosing. Once complete, participants are free to use Warehouse Workbench for thirty days to do real work and decide for themselves whether Warehouse Workbench fits into their data warehouse environment.
