INTELLICORP LEADERSHIP COUNCIL HIGHLIGHTS EMERGING TRENDS IN
BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT AND APPLICATIONS INTEGRATION
IntelliCorp, Inc., a provider of business process management products and services, announced the formation of a leadership council consisting of eight information management executives who are IntelliCorp customers. Council members are from Andrew Corporation, the Coca Cola Company, Deere & Company, Fluoroware, Nestle USA, and TRW.
The council met for two days to address the pressing challenges that IT managers face in today's aggressive and changing business climate. They reviewed case studies including business challenges, successes, and methodologies of IT managers who implement and manage SAP R/3 systems and projects. Key areas that the group covered included: accelerated R/3 implementation, global rollouts and upgrades, and multi-site data standardization.
The council concluded that data cleansing is one of the most costly and least-anticipated expenses during implementations; discrepancies in data become apparent right before the "go live" date, when resources and budgets are already being stretched.
Another important issue faced by many of the members of the leadership council is the need to conduct global system rollouts in a cost-effective manner, yet ensure continuity of corporate objectives and business processes. Many companies today have successfully implemented R/3 in one or more pilot sites, and are now engaged in rolling out the system in multiple remote sites. The ability to ensure that corporate objectives are met in each rollout, while preserving local variations, is immensely valuable.
"Given today's requirements for daily information management between divisions and sites, corporations are looking for ways to save time and resources" said Colin Bodell, Chief Operating Officer of IntelliCorp. "We are developing tools and training that reduce the time and resources required to manage and control ERP systems throughout their lifecycles - and make data easy for non-technical managers to use."
Ken Haas, President and CEO of IntelliCorp added, "It's vital for us to review industry trends and the direction in which we are moving with leaders in the information management industry. Hosting this event allowed us to validate the direction of our products and service developments, and also helped uncover some new areas where we can add value to our customers in today's business climate."
