As it expanded its data warehousing portfolio for the communications industry recently, NCR Corp. also introduced a next generation business software that, the company says, will enable communications companies to use customer histories to improve business operations.
The new suite of business software provides a complete "closed loop" customer relationship management (CRM) solution for the communications industry that helps carriers to address the needs of wireline and wireless, business and residential customers, Newsbytes learned.
According to Donnie Villanueva, NCR Corp. Philippines' customer services manager, this latest offering underscores NCR's commitment to develop customer- driven solutions for the communications industry.
"It extends and enhances what NCR has been doing for more than a dozen years in the data warehousing arena," he explained.
This industry-specific customer relationship management solution includes ChurnSENTRY, GrowthADVISOR, Integrated Campaign Management, and CustomerBI modules.
These components fit together in building-block fashion to create a complete, end-to-end CRM solution for communications service providers (CSPs). Each module works in conjunction with NCR's data warehousing solutions.
Villanueva explained that ChurnSENTRY can be used by communications services to identify the high-value customers that are "sensitive" and take action to prevent them from leaving.
GrowthADVISOR helps marketing managers at CSPs to identify which customers are likely to buy additional services. It also enables communications companies to increase revenues and implement marketing campaigns for top customer prospects more efficiently.
VALEX marketing automation software, an Integrated Campaign Management package provides CSPs with a way to plan, coordinate, and execute targeted marketing campaigns more accurately, as a result of conflicting messages being sent by carriers to customers at a time of simultaneous and overlapping marketing campaigns.
CustomerBI, the fourth component of NCR's communications industry solution, provides clear business insights in a flexible format and can be overlaid on an NCR Teradata-based data warehouse.
Villanueva said that many data warehousing customers in the communications industry are already taking advantage of NCR's solutions for managing customer relationships.
"Customer relationship management is NCR's core competency. You don't have to be a telecommunications company to enable customers to better understand customer behavior in order to deliver a more focused and personalized service," he stressed.
