Analysts International Corporation has announced the acquisition of the information technology consulting and services business of Minneapolis-based Enterprise Solutions Incorporated (ESI). ESI's consulting and services practice, which specializes in data warehouse and decision support solutions, will be folded into Analysts International's Minneapolis branch data warehousing practice.
Operating as Dimension, the branch's data warehousing practice will offer customers expanded capability with the addition of ESI's proven 'Blueprint' methodology, process and experienced consultants. Susan Furlow, Minneapolis branch manager for Analysts International, said the company established the Dimension practice in response to an increasing demand for data warehousing from area companies.
"Our focus within the Dimension practice is on data and information management -- assembling and processing business intelligence to make it a valuable management tool," Furlow said. "The name, Dimension, was selected by Analysts International to reflect the various approaches to meeting our clients' data and information management needs, from a reporting system to an enterprise warehouse."
Tim Brands, Dimension practice manager, added: "The art of data warehousing involves taking information from multiple sources, internal and external to the company, and turning it into something with strategic value. For example, customer buying behavior information can help companies predict how customers may respond to different product or service offerings, and afford them tremendous cost savings in the process."
Mike Frichol, president of ESI, said, "This acquisition is a win-win deal; Analysts International has the wherewithal to leverage the resources and business developed by ESI to propel the growth of the Dimension practice, while ESI will cease to offer consulting and technical services and focus on its InfoCat metadata catalog and Data Warehouse / Decision Support product offerings."
