to Service and Deploy InfoMedtrics' Healthcare
Information Center to Self-Insured Fortune 500 Market
ACTION ITEMS
Delivering upon its commitment to partner with leading systems integrators to market and deploy its healthcare information solutions, InfoMedtrics, Inc. has announced its strategic partnership with Computer Sciences Corporation. Through this partnership, CSC will implement, integrate and support InfoMedtrics' Healthcare Information Center, the industry's first healthcare information solution for managing the financial, clinical and administrative information related to an organization's total healthcare and disability costs and quality of care.
The HCIC achieves this goal by integrating this information into a single, unified data warehouse for the creation of trusted, timely and informative data. The initial focus of the partnership to deploy InfoMedtrics' HCIC solution is specifically aimed at the self-insured, Fortune 500 market, which has estimated potential revenue of $15 million for the first year of the partnership and 100% growth over the next two years.
Based on InfoMedtrics' HCIC product suite, InfoMedtrics and CSC will provide healthcare and disability professionals in large organizations with the first fully integrated and customizable system for managing and improving healthcare quality while substantially reducing costs. As the only integrated healthcare and disability solution, the HCIC manages group health, worker's compensation, disability, occupational health and safety, and financial and clinical data, and integrates it into a unified data warehouse. The empirical information derived from this aggregated healthcare data is then used to formulate analyses and reports to support organizational or programmatic changes to improve the quality of healthcare while better managing costs.
"We are very excited to partner with CSC in this venture that holds the promise of being very rewarding for both our companies and customers, and also provides us with the opportunity to directly affect how healthcare is provided and measured," said Bernard P. Wess, Jr., president and founder of InfoMedtrics. "CSC's technical expertise and well-earned reputation for fostering customer success within their data warehousing practice, combined with InfoMedtrics' decades of expertise in developing relational healthcare information solutions, will create a compelling force to help revolutionize the manner in which healthcare and disability information is utilized."
"The capabilities of InfoMedtrics' HCIC constitutes a quantum leap in both healthcare and medical information management," said Rich Goggin, senior partner, at CSC. "We have already generated great interest and are in the process of securing financial commitment from potential users for the HCIC-based solution. We anticipate a very rewarding, long-term partnership with InfoMedtrics."
CSC's proven abilities to successfully plan, design, install, and support large data warehouse solutions and long-term experience in healthcare benefits consulting, allows them to offer a variety of HCIC implementation services, according to Goggin. HCIC Systems Integration Services provides assistance to IT personnel in implementing the HCIC hardware and software environment, while CSC provides healthcare management consulting services to maximize the HCIC.
InfoMedtrics and CSC are focusing on the self-insured, Fortune 500 market through this announcement, however, InfoMedtrics will also be servicing the healthcare provider, insurance and medical service organization markets. InfoMedtrics is initially focusing on the self-insured, Fortune 500 market with CSC because these organizations are watching benefit costs rise at twice the rate of inflation. This market is poised to truly understand, embrace and most readily experience the benefits of the solutions that InfoMedtrics' HCIC offers. Most self-insured, Fortune 500 Companies are critically aware that they must find a way to better control the rising cost of healthcare benefits, without decreasing the benefits and value delivered to employees.
The strategic healthcare management goals for large, self-insured, Fortune 500 companies that InfoMedtrics and CSC will address include:
The partnership with InfoMedtrics and CSC has already lead to an imminent sale and installation with one of the nation's largest self-insured, Fortune 50 companies that will showcase the HCIC's ability to integrate group health, occupational health and safety and worker's compensation data into a single information system. Further details on this large-scale deployment will be made public later this year.
