Enhanced Data Warehouse Solutions and Stronger Support
to Customers
ACTION ITEMS
ETI (Evolutionary Technologies International Inc.) has announced two strategic partnerships that position ETI as NCR's preferred provider of ETML (extraction, transformation, move & load) solutions and place NCR as the sole third-party developer of ETI's Teradata Data System Library.
Through joint efforts in the areas of product development, implementation, marketing and consulting, NCR and ETI will bring enhanced data warehouse solutions to major global organizations faster, while providing higher levels of customer support and service.
The strategic marketing partnership positions ETI at the highest level of the NCR partner program.
"We are pleased that our ETI EXTRACT Tool Suite is now positioned as the extraction and transformation solution of choice for NCR," said Sigmund Puchacz, Director of Strategic Relations with ETI. "NCR is a recognized leader in the scalable data warehouse marketplace, while ETI is positioned for large migration requirements. The new relationship will be of great benefit to customers and the industry as a whole."
The partnership is dedicated to delivering robust solutions and superior customer satisfaction. To achieve this, ETI and NCR will partner on customer sales. The NCR sales team will have the opportunity to bring in ETI's resources to assist in discussions regarding implementation, technical features and business benefits, while ETI will provide extensive sales and technical training for NCR representatives. With this addition, ETI has expanded its alliance partner count to 40.
"We wanted to provide our customers with the most effective and efficient means to move data into the Teradata database from external sources like legacy systems and determined that a partnership with one of the leading ETML vendors made perfect sense. ETI's name surfaced immediately," stated Dan Harrington, Worldwide Marketing Vice President for NCR's National Accounts Solutions Group. "We see this partnership as the beginning of a long-term and mutually beneficial relationship between our companies. No doubt, the customer is the winner."
The strategic development partnership builds on ETI's history of aligning itself with key third-party developers to assist with projects. NCR will be responsible for the current and future development of ETI's Teradata Data System Library (DSL). The DSL allows ETI EXTRACT to generate programs with efficient native access to Teradata information.
"Who could possibly be better at overseeing the development of the Teradata DSL than NCR?" said David Marshall, ETI's vice president of development. "With NCR managing the development processes, our customers are assured that ETI EXTRACT is always optimized for the Teradata environment."
About ETI EXTRACT
ETI EXTRACT provides a complete solution to data integration management by automating the process of consolidating data between incompatible systems, thereby helping customers complete projects faster and more cost effectively. Mission-critical data frequently exists in incompatible databases distributed across the enterprise. When a company implements an enterprise-resource planning system such as SAP R/3, builds a data warehouse or consolidates data after a merger or acquisition, it must find a way for these inconsistent systems to exchange information. ETI EXTRACT was developed to help companies effectively manage the data integration required in today's rapidly changing environment.
