EXPERIAN CONTACT STRATEGY MANAGEMENT SOLUTION
Alterian Limited, an innovative provider of data analysis and data mining products, has announced that its database technology has been selected to underpin a new contact strategy management solution developed by Experian. Alterian's product suite supports individual-level profiling and can handle vast amounts of data at the desktop, making it ideally suited for such advanced marketing applications.
Contact strategy management is a new marketing technique, which allows companies to employ more personalised, 'one-to-one' communications with their customers and prospects, prompted by computer-generated instructions. For example, call centre operators can be given different 'sales scripts' for different callers, based on information held on databases about the person's customer details or their prospect profile.
Experian's new Contact Strategy Manager application helps companies determine the message' or the way in which client-facing staff will handle different categories of customers and prospects. Alterian database technology is used in tandem with Contact Strategy Manager to integrate customer and prospect data to form a universe on which to base contact management strategies. It also manages critical 'event' information (such as new addresses and changes in requirements), which prompt certain actions at the point of contact.

Contact Strategy Manager is just one part of Experian's individual-level target marketing solution, which also integrates Pixel, an individual and household segmentation system, Microcoder, a data enhancement tool, and Micromarketer DataMiner, a data cleansing and aggregation tool.
