Hummingbird Acquires Data Transformation Company Leonard's

Hummingbird Communications Ltd., a world-leading enterprise software company, has announced that it has acquired Leonard's Logic SA, makers of Genio, a leading data transformation and exchange tool. The acquisition will enable Hummingbird to offer a turnkey solution for rapid and cost-effective deployment of data marts integrated with a full range of business intelligence capabilities.

This acquisition further enriches our business intelligence offering which is a key component of our Enterprise Knowledge Portal strategy."

The total purchase price, payable in cash, is approximately US$ 20.4 million. Under the terms of the agreement, Leonard's Logic president and key personnel will continue to be employed by Hummingbird.
