Decisionism Ships Aclue2.4
Decisionism Inc. has announced the general availability of Release 2.4 of its Aclue Decision Supportware, the only packaged solution for rapidly developing, deploying and managing analytical applications and On Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) reporting solutions. Aclue automates many of the costly labor-intensive steps required to deploy analytical applications, and thus shortens the development cycle and improves application reliability. Aclue is the only product that supports all three of the industry leading OLAP platforms: Oracle Express, Hyperion Essbase, and Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 OLAP Services.
A key feature in Aclue 2.4 is support for Oracle Corporation's Financial Analyzer (OFA), a powerful budgeting, forecasting and reporting application. Aclue for OFA addresses the challenges of integrating financial data from diverse sources and simplifies the deployment of OFA, while maximizing its value for improved decision making.
Other features in Release 2.4 include advanced time series management with the ability to import calendar templates from other systems. Additionally, Aclue 2.4 enhances the granularity of data movement from source systems, to speed application development and improve efficiency and performance.
This new version also extends Aclue's production management features to provide additional support for the system administrator responsible for the smooth operation of analytical applications. Data elements such as SKUs (stock keeping units), accounts or other items often change from one month to the next. Aclue automatically adjusts all the analytical applications it is managing to reflect these changes, and the Release 2.4 Administrative Status Module clearly catalogs the changes and provides printed summary reports.
In general, reporting has been upgraded throughout the product, extending Aclue's ability to create a self-documenting environment. Aclue Release 2.4 also has enhanced data transformation capabilities, and overall performance is improved, to meet growing application demands.
"This is an important release because of the broad range of enhancements and improvements," said Deb Miller, Decisionism vice president, product development. "More importantly, with the addition of support for Oracle's Financial Analyzer, Aclue now offers a packaged solution that assists corporations to rapidly implement and deploy this sophisticated budgeting, forecasting and financial management application."
Aclue provides a robust and effective foundation for analytical applications. Aclue gathers and transforms data from multiple production systems and data warehouses and delivers rapid development, cost-effective deployment and efficient ongoing management of one or more analytical applications. Aclue's unique support for all three of the leading OLAP platforms means it can host applications in a heterogeneous OLAP environment. With the growing interest in Microsoft's SQL Server OLAP Services, Aclue provides a natural foundation to allow corporations to operate a mixed OLAP environment with the confidence that all applications will be kept synchronized.
"Traditional OLAP application development takes too long and is too dependent on scarce consulting talent," said Gordon Rapkin, Decisionism's president and CEO. "Aclue Decision Supportware is a packaged solution that automates many of the costly labor-intensive steps. Release 2.4 advances our strategy of helping corporations deploy more analytical applications faster."
