HP Guides SAP Customers To Successful Business-Information Warehouse Solutions
Building on its experience as the leader in business-critical data warehousing, Hewlett-Packard Company has rolled out HP Impact Analysis for SAP Business Information Warehouse (BW), a customized business tool that shows companies how to easily integrate SAP BW within their SAP R/3 and data-warehousing environments. This value-added tool enables BW customers to accurately predict the resources needed for a successful BW deployment, reduces implementation risks and maximizes SAP BW and R/3 investments.
SAP BW is a data-warehousing solution that provides a comprehensive view and analysis of enterprise-wide data to help customers make more-informed business decisions. HP Impact Analysis for SAP BW is the industry's first business tool to address factors critical to a successful implementation of SAP BW -- understanding the business-intelligence needs of an organization, identifying potential business-information problem areas, and outlining the resources needed for a successful deployment of SAP BW. The entire analysis can be completed in approximately two weeks.
HP continues to build upon its expertise and commitment to R/3 environments established through its long and successful relationship with SAP by extending that knowledge to SAP BW. HP Impact Analysis for SAP BW includes the following program activities to deliver rapid value to BW customers:
HP is helping customers understand the impact, capabilities and benefits of SAP BW. This effort includes an in-depth evaluation of hardware, performance levels and component capacities required to support SAP BW. Completion of these program activities leads to a recommendation of the appropriate HP platform required for the various database and application servers for a successful implementation of SAP BW.
HP Impact Analysis for SAP BW complements the efforts by SAP to make BW an enterprise-wide data-warehousing solution. HP is working with select systems integrators to offer and implement HP Impact Analysis for SAP BW. ESI Enterprise Solutions, a specialized ERP integrator with a core competency in SAP and SAP application extensions with BW, is the first qualified systems integrator to partner with HP on this business tool. By leveraging HP's knowledge with ESI's expertise in SAP environments and e-commerce reengineering, customers can transform data centers into powerful e-services command centers.
"We are excited about this special relationship with HP and SAP," said Fred Phares, president and chief executive officer of ESI. "We have made a significant commitment to developing this competency and look forward to assisting our customers in successfully leveraging their investment in SAP to data-warehousing and e-service solutions."
