Tantau Software Release New High-Speed Data Analysis Engine

A new super-fast data analysis engine has been released by Tantau Software. InfoCharger is touted as being able to process large volumes of records up to 1,000 times faster than traditional database management systems, making it a good choice for both data mining and online analytical processing functions. This product can automatically change data into numeric code and store tables in columns rather than in row format. InfoCharger is available for servers based on the Windows NT server O/S, NonStop Kernel or popular versions of UNIX and can be configured for single processor desktop systems or large-scale, enterprise-class servers. Pricing and availability were not disclosed. In conjunction with the release of InfoCharger, Tantau has also launched a UK channel initiative.
