Acxiom Corporation Introduces Upgrade To Revolutionary Data Query And Analysis Tool: Rapidus


Acxiom Corporation has announced the much anticipated upgrade of Rapidus, an application of the company's Solvitur Market Management Solution. Acxiom personnel will demonstrate this new version at the National Center for Database Marketing (NCDM) Conference in Chicago, July 28-30, in anticipation of a full-scale release this fall.

Rapidus is an easy-to-use, high performance and cost-effective analysis tool that allows users to plan marketing strategies and solve problems in seconds. Rapidus enables easy access to data for analyzing and extracting up- to-date customer and prospect information. Time-consuming queries become a thing of the past because multiple selections and counts can be produced quickly. Rapidus accesses data within each record, such as demographics, product type and purchase history, allowing the quick creation of complex segmentation and market profiles. In addition, Rapidus is closely integrated with the Solvitur Planner, a campaign planning and management tool specifically designed for database marketers.

As with the previous version, Rapidus is adapted to each customer. The new version of Rapidus provides marketers with a cost-effective and flexible solution to perform counts and profiles on databases in a matter of seconds. The new features of Rapidus are designed for greater flexibility and scalability, faster data retrieval, reduction of errors and savings in time. It is intended to support incremental updates for staying abreast of market changes and allowing users to access, analyze and use data quickly. Rapidus currently has a client roster of 21 companies with more than 700 users nationwide and around the world.

Increased functionality of the new Rapidus version includes:

International capabilities. Rapidus has been redesigned to easily deploy multiple language versions of the software. Before the upgrade, it was available only in English.

Customization capability. Rapidus uses a tree modular structure (similar to Microsoft Explorer) throughout the data mart build and access process. Users can customize their data mart view by either user or group of users. The data mart tree allows quick access to fields, datamaps and values for marketing segmentation, campaign fulfillment, analysis and reporting.

Enhanced reporting functionality. Rapidus contains a built-in statistics module that provides user-defined graphical and one- to three-dimensional cross-tab reports on any query. In addition, users can now select cells from the data grid to create a query allowing further segmentation for output.

Customer browse capabilities. The Data Preview allows the user to quickly pull names, addresses and other data for data analysis and auditing purposes.
