ASQ: Information & Data Quality Conference To Be Held In New Orleans, October 31 - November 4
The Information and Data Quality Conference will be held October 31 - November 4, 1999, at the Hotel Inter-Continental in New Orleans, La.
"Reducing Business and I.T. Costs Through Information Quality" is the theme of the conference, which is jointly organized by The Data Warehouse Institute, Information Impact International, Inc., and the American Society for Quality (ASQ). The purpose is to share quality techniques and technology that can dramatically reduce the costs of business and information systems scrap and rework as a result of poor quality data.
Two key-note speakers will be featured, Larry English, president and principal of INFORMATION IMPACT International, Inc., will speak on Tuesday, November 2, 1999. English's presentation, "The High Cost of Low-Quality Data: And What to Do About It" examines how information quality improvement can transform business and information systems success. On Wednesday, November 3, 1999, Masaaki Imai, chairman of the KAIZEN Institute will speak about "KAIZEN and its Implications for Reducing Business and I.T. Costs." Imai will discuss KAIZEN (which means continuous improvement) and the three most important requirements to satisfy the customer. He will also describe how NTT Data became the first information systems organization to win the Deming prize for quality.
