Taurus & InfoMiners.com Forge Strategic Partnership; New Data Warehouse Solution To Benefit Clients
Taurus Software, a distinguished leader in cross-platform, cross-database operations, announced a strategic partnership recently with InfoMiners.com, a leading-edge provider of data warehouse and decision support systems for healthcare.
According to Cailean Sherman, CEO of Taurus Software, the alliance will deliver important new solutions for Taurus clients. "Enterprise-wide decision support is increasingly important for healthcare providers and payors in a very competitive market. Through this partnership, we will be able to deliver turnkey decision support solutions - to help them succeed." The InfoMiners.com solution will be marketed to the entire Taurus customer base, including 101 Amisys clients throughout the United States.
"We are delighted with this partnership," says InfoMiners.com CEO, Nadine Hays. "Taurus has a proven track record in the healthcare market. Their ability to offer a comprehensive decision support solution for business managers will enhance this position."
Through this partnership, Amisys users will be able to turn raw data into useful business information. The InfoMiners.com data warehouse can process massive amounts of both financial and clinical data from the Amisys system and extract key business metrics. Results are delivered to any PC, via Internet or Intranet, with reports that highlight potential problems.
Unlike standard reporting systems, however, the InfoMiners system allows business managers to immediately drill-down to the patient-level detail under the report summaries - to find the cause of problems before they grow, and take corrective action.
This is a major step forward, according to Sherman. "We're finding that a lot of our customers think they already own a data warehouse. But when they see the InfoMiners system, and compare it to what they have, this is obviously a better solution for the business manager." The difference is the ability to go beyond static reports, according to Sherman. "At best, our clients have built data repositories linked to a reporting system. The data is clean and consolidated but they still have reams of data that they try to wade through to make decisions. They don't have the analytic tools that can turn that data into useful business information. That's the key advantage that InfoMiners.com provides."
Taurus selected InfoMiners.com after several months of discussions with key clients, which led to the formal partnership agreement, signed in late July. "The InfoMiners.com system gives high-level executives the ability to see the big picture, spot anomalies, then actually browse down into the data to find out why these things are occurring," continues Sherman. "There is quite a bit of value, even for clients who think they already have a good data warehouse. And the clients who don't have a data warehouse are extremely excited about this announcement."
