FRx SOFTWARE CORPORATION ANNOUNCES INTEGRATION WITH LEADING OLAP SERVERS
FRx Software Corp., a leading provider of financial reporting and analytic applications, has announced Instant!OLAP, a product initiative that promises users a new level of ease in delivering financial information to OLAP environments for sophisticated analysis. Support will be provided for both Microsoft SQL Server OLAP Services and Hyperion Essbase.

FRx's financial reporting solutions already include pre-defined interfaces for `plug and play' compatibility with virtually every major accounting system. Instant!OLAP adds the intelligence required to automatically populate OLAP cubes with data drawn from these accounting systems, using an intuitive row/column/hierarchy reporting paradigm already familiar to hundreds of thousands of FRx users. This eliminates the extensive knowledge of accounting system table structures and significant effort required when using generic extract/transform/load (ETL) or data mart management tools to create and populate OLAP cubes with financial data.

Instant!OLAP will support the creation of both server-based and local OLAP cubes. By populating the OLAP cube with only the desired business-critical financial data, FRx users are better able to understand the information and quickly benefit from OLAP analysis. The integration of OLAP functionality with FRx's product line allows users to streamline the analysis process by providing access, reporting, drill-down and analysis of financial data within the same environment.
Instant!OLAP will be a component of the company's upcoming product, code-named Vulcan, scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 1999.
