MICROSTRATEGY TELECASTER DELIVERS E-BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE TO CUSTOMERS DIRECTLY VIA THE TELEPHONE

With MicroStrategy Telecaster, organizations can reach their customers via the telephone with highly personalized information. Based on either pre-set schedules or individually-defined exception criteria, MicroStrategy Telecaster uses sophisticated data analysis to determine if and when a call should be placed and automatically makes a telephone call once the right conditions have been met. The new product also enables customer interactions using the keypad of the telephone. When MicroStrategy Telecaster reaches a customer, the telephone keypad allows the recipient to act on the information - customers can respond, request more information, or even make a purchase.

Based on either pre-set schedules or individually-defined exception criteria, MicroStrategy Telecaster automatically makes a telephone call once the right conditions have been met. For example, if a stock in a portfolio is down greater than 10%, MicroStrategy Telecaster retrieves this information directly from the data warehouse, determines which customers are impacted, formats the information for the telephone interaction, then places calls to each individual.

XML Engine Ensures Personalized Experience For Each Customer Interaction

MicroStrategy Telecaster includes an XML-based engine that creates a personalized message for each customer, and continuously adapts to the interaction during each information exchange during the telephone call. The entire interaction, including the content, personal greeting, and every menu option, is dynamically-generated in real time for each individual. The message content is created based upon each user's preferences, and is transmitted through a text-to-voice engine that converts text into audible output. In addition to dynamically generating the content for each message, XML provides an open standard for data transfer between applications, minimizes integration issues for reduced time to market, and allows organizations to easily customize their application to address their exact customer needs.

MicroStrategy's Voice Bureau is a dedicated data center that interacts with organizations' MicroStrategy Telecaster solutions to place all calls. Organizations simply send encrypted messages from their MicroStrategy Telecaster application to the MicroStrategy Voice Bureau via an HTTPS gateway, and all calls are placed.
