Powerful new features of Daetaective Office 6.0 make the technology much more efficient as a data cleansing technology tool. • Inquiry and Converter - Extended Applications

A powerful tool for general data analysis and data mining, Inquiry allows the user to locate records that meet any criteria. It also provides a framework for selecting the appropriate records on which to conduct data integrity tests. Converter allows the user to implement algorithms that convert or create data.

Other components of Daetaective Office have been redesigned to enable successful integration of both Inquiry and Converter within the data auditing and cleansing functionality, as well as make the Daetaective Office technology highly suitable as a general ETL and data mining tool.

• Daetaective Engine - Enhanced Process Manager

The Daetaective Engine has been redesigned for Daetaective Office 6.0, improving overall efficiency by at least 25 percent. In addition, the following new features were added:

• Batch Manager - Prevents batch runs from "stalling" due to a runtime error that may not materially impact the results of the overall procedure. The user may specify priority levels associated with various errors and elect to continue processing under certain conditions. The records that triggered the error(s) are then flagged for further analysis and the remaining records are processed.
• Select Rollback - Allows the user to select a subgroup of the population for which rollback of various procedures is desired. Using Select Rollback, the processing time is significantly reduced, allowing for greater operational efficiency.
• Data Loader

This component allows the user to efficiently import data from various sources and has been completely redesigned to act as a more powerful file manipulation tool. The user can now easily analyze and load complex file formats and analyze and track errors during data conversion. Data Loader also includes a powerful GUI to facilitate the loading and viewing of even the most complex file formats and a diagnostic tool enabling the user to view files with undefined formats. The Data Loader also paves the way for introduction of a highly adaptable stand-alone file manipulation tool.
