MicroStrategy Web And MicroStrategy Broadcaster Anchor $1.5 Million Deal
MicroStrategy Incorporated, provider of Intelligent E-Business software, announced that Ingenix, a UnitedHealth Group company, will deploy MicroStrategy technology to upgrade the health intelligence services it provides customers. Ingenix's $1.5 million purchase will improve customer access to a comprehensive line of clinical, technical, and financial information services that help pharmacies, laboratories, hospitals, insurers, and others.
With MicroStrategy Web, a data analysis and reporting tool, Ingenix customers will be able to connect directly to health intelligence services through any common Web browser. Additionally, Ingenix will deploy MicroStrategy Broadcaster to proactively deliver health care information directly to doctors, pharmacists, and actuaries. MicroStrategy Broadcaster delivers information to any communications channel, including pagers, mobile phones, email, PDAs, or telephones. The technology will enable Ingenix to communicate important patient information directly with doctors, or insurance information directly to claims representatives for immediate action.
"Choosing MicroStrategy to upgrade the services we provide our customers illustrates our commitment to them, this industry, and leading-edge e-business solutions," said Kevin Roche, CEO at Ingenix, "Our customers depend on information we provide. It has to be accurate and it has to be fast. MicroStrategy provides us with a number of innovative ways to meet and exceed those needs."
In addition to advanced e-business technologies, MicroStrategy will also provide Ingenix with maintenance, consulting, and education services to assure a successful project implementation. Ingenix, based in Eden Prairie, Minn., expects to launch its MicroStrategy-powered health intelligence services in the first quarter of 2000.
