Cognos Announces Support For Informatica's MX2 API

CSN has announced support for Informatica's MX2 1.6, the latest version of its Metadata Exchange (MX2) application programming interface (API). By supporting Informatica's MX2 API, Cognos customers receive integration between products so they can deliver a consistent and accurate view of corporate data across the enterprise, extending the value of the data warehouse to the analytic applications. The integration between Cognos and Informatica will give users the ability to generate and manage catalogs that are consistent and updated intelligently throughout the enterprise. Cognos and Informatica customers can now answer critical business questions by using Cognos' query and analysis solutions to create reports that capture and present corporate data contained in large data warehouses to explore and analyze it.
