DCI And Meta Group Present A Data Warehouse World Event
DCI announced that it has created a new industry event: DCI's Business Intelligence World. The show has evolved from the successful DCI's Data Warehouse World, and will focus on the most current and important business intelligence issues and technical trends of today.
The industry has seen a shift from data warehouse technology infrastructure to the applied use of technology in delivering business solutions in the form of business intelligence and analytical applications. DCI and META Group have built a new event, DCI's Business Intelligence World, which will focus on this area to deliver value to both conference attendees and vendors bringing new and innovative solutions to the market. Attendees will find information on such topics as business intelligence infrastructure, analytical applications and business intelligence tools (OLAP, reporting, data mining, visualization, etc.), as well as hear best practices, and get insights from analysts, consultants, early adopters, and thought leaders.
"Attendees to DCI's Business Intelligence World will notice a balanced coverage of infrastructure technology along with a new rigorous treatment of front-end business intelligence applications and solutions," said Mark A. Smith, program director at META Group and a co-chair of the event. Long-time contributor to DCI events, Colin White, founder of DataBase Associates, added, "The event will move beyond the well established environment of data warehousing to look at the impact of analytical applications, information portals, and e-business on the world of business intelligence."
