Merrill Lynch Selects Neovision For Data Visualization
NeoVision Hypersystems, Inc. announced a licensing agreement with the Government Strategies Group of Merrill Lynch, a global financial management and advisory company specializing in improving the process of analyzing government securities. Under the agreement, the Government Strategies Group will use Heatmaps to analyze current government securities in seven major Treasury bond sectors, to monitor global interest rate trends, to visualize yield curves, and to examine yield differentials between government securities of different countries and with different maturity dates.
Heatmaps create dynamic visual pictures that shift as markets move by incorporating different shades of color which correlate with formulas and analytics in real-time. Using Heatmaps, Merrill Lynch's traders become familiar with the market's normal price and yield correlation patterns.
"Heatmaps are an extremely useful intelligent visualization tool. We are now able to look at multiple markets simultaneously, customize the Heatmaps applications, making the desktop personalization process easier for nonprogrammers, and you can see the information you need within minutes. I plan to introduce this technology to other areas in the firm," says Jim Caron, vice president of the Government Strategies Group.
