NCR Showcases Innovations In Relationship Optimizer
NCR Corporation announced a preview of the NCR's Relationship
Technologies exhibit at the BAI Retail Delivery '99 Conference
in Miami from December 7th - 9th. The NCR products and services on
display represented the suite of NCR's customer-centered,
growth-oriented business solutions offerings designed to better serve
customers in a networked society.
The NCR Booth, 664 on the conference floor, allowed conference
participants to meet NCR executives and gain exposure to the following
products and services:
- Relationship Optimizer -- NCR's Relationship Optimizer equips
businesses with significant new analytic and deployment capabilities
that enable companies to identify and support the needs of their
customers. The innovative technology ensures that each customer contact
becomes a personal dialogue determined by the customer's own responses
to a lead, building a comprehensive picture of each customer.
Relationship Optimizer can also refine targeting and execution at any
level and every point in the process to enable continual improvement in
customer communication.
- Value Analyzer -- NCR's Value Analyzer is an enterprise-wide solution
that measures current profit at an account level using five factors of
income, expense and risk. Instead of the old fashioned "top-down" view,
Value Analyzer's "bottom-up" approach begins at the fundamental unit of
measurement -- the account. The value to a company of a specific
customer's account can be aggregated and analyzed along a number of
dimensions; customer, channel, product or organization through their
own reporting tools.
- Behavior Explorer -- Behavior Explorer is designed to enable companies
to understand and predict the behavior of customers, enabling the
creation of customer relationships that impact effectively on every
area of operations -- especially the bottom line. Behavior explorer
analyzes customer behavior based on product holdings, transactions
across delivery channels, and future customer propensities.
- InterRelate+ -- InterRelate+ solution gathers customer relationship
data. As a customer-focused, multi-channel delivery solution,
InterRelate+ links data warehouse, core and other back-office and
support systems to the delivery channels (including self-service) in a
real-time environment. In conjunction with Relationship Optimizer, the
data is then transformed into intelligent customer knowledge: the basis
of actionable information to take individual customer relationships
forward -- positively and profitable.
- Self-Service Kiosks NCR's self-service kiosk strengthens the
relationship between the bank and the customer, with its accessible
presence in the street, at the mall, and everywhere consumers need
cash. Self-service networks are central to providing more innovative,
higher level of customer service and satisfaction. The 7401 Web Kiosk
is a very compact and cost- effective platform targeted primarily at
Web based services such as in-branch information transactions. It can
be placed virtually anywhere in the branch -- mounted directly to a
wall, placed on a desktop, or customer services counter. The Ci20 Web
Kiosk is a small footprint free standing kiosk with multi-function
self-service platform targeted at Web-based financial account services
transactions in unattended environments.
- PersonaS 86 -- PersonaS 86 is the latest hardware technology that can
be deployed as a component of the kiosk solutions. It offers a full
range of self-service transactions from cash dispensing to deposits, to
a full 80-column graphics statement printer. The design of the PersonaS
86 allows a bank to upgrade or downgrade the ATM functionality
dependent on transaction volume. It is easy to use, easily installed
and scalable, and will help exploit new revenue opportunities.
- PersonaS 90 -- The PersonaS 90 self-service ATM for financial
institutions is the newest addition to the company's popular PersonaS
family of self-service terminals. Designed to fit on an existing
36-inch concrete pneumatic tube platform, the PersonaS 90 is more
slender than other drive-up models, which normally require a 42-inch
island or a building. This means installation is both time- and
cost-effective as the PersonaS 90 is designed to stand alone without
housing, further reducing installation expenses.
- UV Lithography ATM Receipts -- NCR Systemedia Group's development of
UV Litho technology for ATM thermal printing paper is an industry
first, allowing customers to print heavy ink coverage with magazine
quality images on thermal paper. This capability allows the customer to
enhance corporate branding and improve overall marketing efforts while
maximizing ATM performance. The receipts have better detail than
typically available, brilliant colors and solid printed areas, unlike
competitive receipts.
- Security Protected Cash Canister Documents -- NCR Systemedia Group has
also developed key technology that expands traditional ATM
functionality beyond dispensing paper currency. Through the cash
canister program, the ATM deployer has additional means to promote
products and services through the distribution of coupons, gift
certificates, phone cards, transportation tickets and other advertising
media. In addition, NCR has developed proprietary anti-theft technology
that provides security for gift certificates and other dispensed media
via invisible ink, preventing the production of fraudulent copies.
