For Example:Manager, High Performance Computing In recent years, the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Rutgers University has attained recognition as a department of leading international stature. One important component of this growth has been the development of computer infrastructure. In particular, the department has had a Supercomputer Remote Access Center for fourteen years, and has just started a Distributed High Performance Computing Facility (DHPC). The open position is for an individual who can assume responsibility for this DHPC, and provide support for Rutgers researchers in utilizing HPC facilities at the national supercomputer centers. This job requires extensive experience in scientific programming and experience with high performance computing. A Master's degree or higher in a natural science or engineering is required. The job entails cooperation with researchers, with other computer staff in the Department, and with other staff in the Rutgers DHPC project and in national supercomputer centers.
