APPRO INTRODUCES INTEL BASED 2U DUAL SERVER

The Appro 2222TS server incorporates the Intel SR8780BH2 server platform with up to two Intel Itanium2 processors. It supports 1.0GHz to 1.5GHz dual Itanium 2 processors and up to16GB of RAM, in a 2U rack-optimized form factor. It offers eight DIMM slots with 6.4 GB/sec peak memory bandwidth, and three available PCI-X slots (one 64-bit/133MHz and two 64-bit/100MHz). This combined technology provides a robust platform and delivers great power to handle an assortment of demanding business and scientific applications.

Enterprise customers benefit from this high-end solution in a system that is remarkably easy to install and maintain. Hot-swap power supplies and fans, hot-swap SCSI drives, and the support of Intel Server Management make this server platform a perfect fit for meeting the reliability and serviceability requirements of enterprise-level server applications.
