SCALI SECURES FOOTHOLD IN CHINA THROUGH OEM PARTNERSHIP

Scali, a leader in high performance clustering solutions, announced its entrance into the Chinese High Performance Computing (HPC) market through an OEM agreement with Langchao, one of the largest domestic vendors of servers in China. Two customers have already signed with 18 and 97 node installations; these are Hua Zhong University and Shang Dong University respectively.

HPC requires advanced management software in order to gain total system visibility, management and performance. Langchao has selected to offer Scali’s Linux-based cluster management system, called Scali Manage, to the Chinese market. Scali Manage includes comprehensive tools for system installation, configuration, management and monitoring, in addition to support for the leading cluster interconnects and platforms. Langchao is able to offer a proven computing environment that reduces costs, increases efficiencies and improves price performance ratios associated with building and running clusters for high performance computing.
